Office Hours and Requests for Service:
Ohio Valley Gas offices are open from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except for holidays. Please contact us during these hours for all questions pertaining to billing and other needed services to your premises.
If you need emergency service outside of our normal working hours, please call us at the after-hours telephone number listed for your district. We do not perform routine (non-emergency) service work outside of our normal working hours. All of our telephone calls will be answered by an Ohio Valley Gas employee who is trained to respond to emergency natural gas situations.

Certain Older Gas Connectors May Be Dangerous
Gas connectors are corrugated metal tubes used to connect gas appliances in your home to fuel gas supply pipes. Some older brass connectors have come apart, causing fires and explosions resulting in deaths and injuries.
Excess Flow Valve Notification for Residential Customers
As required by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), you are hereby notified that an excess flow valve (“EFV”) which meets the minimum DOT performance standards is available for installation on your natural gas service line.
Sewer “Back Up” Problems
Are you experiencing problems from a “backed up” sewer line? Has there been any recent (within the last year or so) utility work completed in your yard or adjacent area? If you answered yes to both questions, please contact your local district office immediately.
Department of Transportation Notice
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has adopted Federal DOT CODE 192.16. This rule requires operators of gas service lines who do not maintain buried customer piping to notify their customers of the need to maintain that piping. Read the code here.
